The L.E. Wilson Expanding Mandrel is designed for use with new brass cases to prepare the case neck prior to the bullet seating operation. New brass is often damaged or inconsistently sized during bulk shipping; running cases over this mandrel ensures a consistent neck diameter and correct neck tension for more uniform bullet seating and improved accuracy. Sized at .307" diameter for .30 caliber cartridges. Sold as the mandrel only.
