With a host of patent pending features, this modular and highly adaptable handgun is designed around a robust stainless steel chassis and revolutionary optics mounting system. Engineered with superior ergonomics and built to withstand the harshest conditions, the Echelon takes its rightful place at the front of the pack. The Echelon from Springfield Armory – Unparalleled. At the heart of the SA Echelon is the Central Operating Group, the COG is entirely self-contained and serialized allowing it to be easily moved between grip modules in seconds. The Echelon has a unique patent pending red dot sight mounting system, the Variable Interface System (VIS). Many popular sights mount directly to the slide without any type of adaptor plate system. The slide accepts two popular mounting standards which will allow the use a myriad of different sights. The two mounting standards are: Trijicon RMR, DeltaPoint Pro, Springfield Micro / Shield RMS/SMS. Adapter plates to mount additional optics are sold separately. A double-zipper case is included with each Springfield Armory handgun. The soft-sided shell ensures the firearm and mounted accessories are protected during transportation, while an interior pouch can hold an additional magazine.
