Lancer Systems LCH7 Handguard 12.5"

The Lancer Systems LCH7 free float tube is a lightweight carbon fiber handguard for LR-308 rifles. The handguard is constructed of a light weight octagonal carbon fiber tube and 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum components. The octagonal shape creates a very rigid handguard that is light and strong. The handguard uses a two piece barrel nut assembly with an outer nut that attaches to the upper receiver and an inner nut that secures the barrel. The carbon fiber forend is secured to the barrel nut with screws and has an aluminum end-cap to protect end from rough handling during competition and duty. Accessory slots are incorporated at the 6 o'clock for a rail and holes for a sling swivel stud so a bi-pod can be attached. The tube has an outside width of 2.2" and an inside width of 1.89". When using a float tube that extends over the gas block, a low profile block must be used. Installation requires the removal of the barrel assembly. The handguard is a free float design comprising of a custom octagon shaped carbon-fiber handguard tube connected to the upper receiver with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver extension. Cooling slots have been provided to manage barrel temperature and allow the connection of accessory rails. Slots are provided at six o'clock for an accessory rail and holes for sling swivel stud so a bi-pod can be attached. Free float design installation requires the removal of the rifle's barrel and specialized knowledge in AR rifle disassembly / assembly.
