The new Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed LR has barrel specifications that make this rifle an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions. The lengths of the fluted heavy sporter contour barrels have been optimized and run 2" longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26") for added bullet velocities. The muzzle is threaded 5/8"-24 and is ready for use with an optional suppressor. The Hell's Canyon LR includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector cap. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. Whether you are a hunter or an aspiring competitor, if you are looking for extra magazine capacity, the Speed LR delivers with the new Plus Magazine system. It uses our proprietary Plus Magazine — a single stack, extended design — that holds 5 or 6 rounds depending on the cartridge. The Plus Magazine system retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt rotary magazine and uses the same center feed design — two features designed prevent damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading to the chamber.
